Do you wish you’d lived in past times? Join us this summer as UFL Reads—our book club for adults—continues its trip into the past worlds of historical fiction. July 27, Sunday, 2:00-3:00 p.m. Be transported to nineteenth century China as we discuss Lisa See’s tale about two women from very different backgrounds--Snow Flower and the Secret Fan. Will the powerful bond of friendship that grew between these two as young girls be tested as they grow into adulthood? And coming up, an unusual narrator guides us to Nazi Germany-- August 24 The Book Thief by Markus Zusak UFL Reads meets at 2:00 p.m. the 4th Sunday of most months, in the MacFarlane-Hood reading room.
