“Get in the Game, READ!” with the Urbana Free Library’s Children’s Department this summer. The 2008 Summer Reading Program will begin on May 27 and end on Aug. 27. Pre-readers and Readers through students entering sixth grade in the fall can join one of our independent reading clubs: Team Read-to-Me (Pre-Readers) and Team Read (Readers). Pre-readers receive a sticker for every five books read to them, and after listening to 50 books will receive a coloring book. Readers receive a free book or gift certificate worth $6 to be used at Pages for All Ages Bookstore. Readers are also encouraged to continue reading after they reach their first 10 books: for every five additional books read, the child is entered in a drawing for more prizes. A library card is not required to register for this free program. Questions? Call the Children's Question Desk at 367-4069 or visit our website at www.urbanafreelibrary.org.
