The most epic band of our generation and the generation before us is U2. U2 has done so much in their career its almost difficult to sort out. Bono, The Edge, Adam Clayton and Larry Mullen Jr. have become superstars of the world with over 10 studio albums, plenty of collaborated material, charity work, and human rights work in Africa. Although many of those works have been initiated by Bono, the human rights activist, the band has contributed to helping the causes of their charity. U2 was formed in 1976 in Dublin, Ireland. The four members, still together today, won a local contest and won 500 euros to record a demo. They were signed by Island Records and became a smash hit from there on. They were at a point only playing in huge stadiums, they won several Grammy Awards and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame by Bruce Springsteen. U2 was re-applying for the best band in the world, and that title is almost very likely.
