The Killers are a pop rock band out of Las Vegas, Nevada. Forming fairly recently in 2002, The Killers quickly rose to fame on the Las Vegas and national scenes with their 2002 debut release, Hot Fuss. With instant hits like Somebody Told Me, Mr. Brightside and Smile Like You Mean It, The Killers were a nearly overnight success. Beyond their dance rock hits, The Killers met with some controversy as a result of comments made by lead singer Brandon Flowers and a press rivalry between The Killers and another popular band, The Bravery. Besides Flowers, The Killers are: Dave Keuning on guitar, Mark Stoermer on bass and Ronnie Vannucci on drums. Their newest album, Sam’s Town, was released in October of 2006 brought even more success to Sin City’s rocking foursome. In November 2007, The Killers will release Sawdust, a collection of b-sides and rarities.
