Radiohead is a British alternative rock group who formed in 1989 in Oxford and has set the bar for creativity and song writing for countless numbers of bands spanning several genres today. With their first release, Pablo Honey in 1993, Radiohead became instantly popular internationally with their hit single "Creep," but several critics of the time labelled them a one hit wonder. The groups second album, The Bends from 1995, put to rest any thinking that they didn't have any staying power, receiving critical acclaim and gaining a strong fan base as a result of this. Their next release, OK Computer, which boasted a much broader sound and the integration of electronic elements was received extremely well internationally and is by many accounts is one of the best bands of the 90s. Their following releases were even more adventurous, each release seeing a more and more divergent attitude from traditional rock music and developing a style all their own. They most recently have recorded their seventh studio album, In Rainbows, which they released as a digital download on October 10th, 2007 allowing their fans to download the album for whatever price they wished to pay.
