Singer-songwriter Liz Phair has been active in the alternative music scene since the early 1990's. After releasing her first album under prominent indie record label Matador, Phair reached success with "Exile in Guyville," eighteen songs of explicit lyrics and "female angst." While the album received rave reviews and led to numerous hype leading into her second release, Phair has yet to follow up on the command she acclaimed with that album. While her two latest releases, 2003's "Liz Phair" and 2005's "Somebody's Miracle" garnered recognizable success as far as sales are concerned, both albums were panned in reviews. Currently, Phair's work has been found in a number of mainstream film productions including the hit "Why Can't I?"
