Melbourne-based duo Chris Cheney and Scott Owen started playing music together in 1994. A year later, they got their big break when they landed a spot touring with Green Day, and they recorded their first single, "From Here On In" after the tour. After replacing drummers, they recorded their second double A-side, "Second Solution/Prisoner of Society." Due to their rousing punk-rock sound, they became the biggest selling Australian-made single of the '90s decade. In 1998, they released their first wildly-successful self-titled album, and continue to record and tour.
