Kings of Convenience is an indie pop band from Bergen, Norway. Getting together in 1999, Kings of Convenience are Erlend Øye and Eirik Glambek Bøe. Kings of Convenience are known for their quiet acoustic melodies. They were signed to Kindercore Records in 1999 and released their eponymous debut in the same year. In 2001, they moved to Astralwerks Records and released both Quiet is the New Loud and Versus in the same year. Their next release, Riot on an Empty Street was not released until 2004 and has been their last album to date. Their have been rumors that Kings of Convenience have broken up but all gossip remains unconfirmed.
