Against Me! began in Gainesville, FL in 1997 as Tom Gabel's solo acoustic act. Within two years, Against Me! began performing as a rock quartet and released its first official EP (self-titled.) Over the years, Against Me! have made a name for themselves with their adrenaline-charged live shows and fiercely political brand of rock. Their most recent full length release, produced by legendary Butch Vig (Nirvana's Nevermind), is called New Wave and includes the single "Thrash Unreal."
