Labeled on their Myspace profile as a “Progressive” band, Zmick draws influence from every genre under the sun. Born and corn bred in Urbana, Zmick is made up of members from the Chicagoland area. With the necessity of “audience participation” like dancing up a storm at their shows, Zmick has been making its mark as an up and coming band on the CU scene. Opening up for acts at the Canopy Club like Hadag Nachash and Blind Melon, Zmick also maintains a residency every Monday at the Canopy. Zmick will surely be heard from a lot more in the years to come in Champaign-Urbana and throughout the country.
