Where did you get your band name?
Angie Heaton & the Gentle Tamers…my parents gave me my name at birth. “The Gentle Tamers” came from a book about women who pioneered the West by Dee Brown (not former Illini).
When did you start performing together?
I play mostly solo, but I put my most recent version of The Gentle Tamers in 2006.

Country-tinged folk!
